One in Five “The Tree Climbers Network”
“Caring for those abused, hoping to end abuse”
Fear not earth’s children
who endured youthful suffering & pain
Your hard life lessons belong here
That thy journey not be in vain
We weep for you during the day and often at night
For thy Love, life and blessed innocence lost
You can find solace in our gathered might
As we all understand and care of thy suffering cost
We are united in our troubles; seeking to make vanish
By being together in this quest - while we are alive
To rid this country and our earth of child all abuse
And diminish that number to less than One in Five

Abused Much
Remembering Always
For the most part, I had a wonderful, loving and protected childhood.
But there was one incident at age 7. I fought them off, and thought I was OK. But subconsciously, I was traumatized.
There is no such thing as “just a little abuse”. Even a small incident can have lasting effects on a child.
I certainly didn’t suffer nearly as much as most victims of childhood sexual abuse. But because of that one incident in my own childhood, I can empathize with those who did. Telling my story has been healing for me. Even more healing, is knowing that I am not alone, and that there is a caring and supportive community here, who will listen to you and really hear what you have to say, without judging you.
Join us, and begin to heal.
I am the 1 in 5.
